It takes you through gorilla trekking in Bwindi, one of the beautiful World Heritage Sites; game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park supports a vast ‘impenetrable’ forest where estimated 459 mountain gorillas live. The 331sq.km rain-forest conservation area lies in Kabale district, Southwestern Uganda approximately 8-9 hours drive from Kampala and 3-4 hours’ drive starting from Kigali Rwanda.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is in the second position as Uganda’s largest park and it is popular for its unique tree climbing lions. Besides, it also inhabits variety of other wildlife including leopards, elephants, Nile crocodiles, water bucks, Uganda Kobs, lions, hyenas, 620 species of birds. This short gorilla and wildlife safari will begin and end in Entebbe or Kampala the capital city of Uganda.
Detailed itinerary 4 Days Bwindi gorillas & QENP wildlife safari
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe city/Kampala capital city to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have a delicious cup of Uganda tea or coffee and after, check out of the hotel. Meet your Uganda safari guide to get insight into what your 4 days Bwindi gorillas & QENP wildlife safari is all about. After, drive through Kampala connect to Masaka via Mbarara to Queen Elizabeth National Park, approximately 5 to 7 hours’ drive. The en-route point to make a stopover include Equator crossing and then proceed to have lunch at the lodge at Queen Elizabeth National Park.
In the afternoon, you will have a fun-filled afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga channel which extends about 45kms, linking both Lake Edward and Lake George. This will be 2-3 hours’ watersport offering you a great opportunity to have incredible view of basking Nile crocodiles, submerged hippos, waterbirds as well as many other terrestrial wildlife as they graze. Return thereafter, and in case you still have time, you may embark on a game drive along the channel trail.

Day 2: Game drive and proceed to Bwindi through Ishasha sector
Rise up for your morning breakfast and later, expect to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park once again but on a game drive. This will take you through Kasenyi Plains with expectations to sight buffaloes, warthogs, spotted hyenas, leopards, Uganda Kobs, elephants. These will be clearly spotted in pop-up roof Safari Van/Land Cruiser.
Get back to the lodge while sighting several wildlife and you will check out of the lodge ready to connect to Bwindi via Ishasha sector. On an en-route game drive, you will catch a glimpse of the tree climbing lions and take their photos. Lunch will be served en-route at Savanna Resort then you go check in at your gorilla safari lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and boat ride in the evening along Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning and then carry your bottle of drinking water plus some snacks. Early in the morning, the park official carries out briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and allocating gorilla families to trekkers. Once you have your group assigned, start a trek to see gorillas at 8:00am.
The park guide will lead you throughout your gorilla adventure that lasts 2-6 hours inclusive of 1 hour of photography and exploration about their daily behaviors. Later, get back to check out and you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi which comprises of 29 islands. Your evening will involve you embarking on a boat ride and this comes with sight on birds and magical islands.
